No matter how big or small you are you can always make a difference in the world. Change begins with one person and can cause a chain reaction. That one person could be you or the person sitting next to you. One difference we can make in the world is to decide to reduce, reuse and recycle.
When it comes to paper usage, if we cut down on the amount of paper we use, we can save more trees from being cut down; save money in the long run and save the energy that is used when bleaching and producing the paper.
There are many different ways in which we can reduce our use of paper:
· Paperless bills-pay your bills online!
· Use electronic notes and storage- for work and record purposes
· Get your newspapers online
· Print only when really needed
· Use email more
· Use cloth napkins
· Take away paper plates

With the amount of technology our society uses now, it should be a lot easier to access different ways to be conservative online and use less paper overall.

We can also reduce the usage of water. Not only can we save money from using less water, but we also can save the energy it takes to clean the water!
Here are some ways we can reduce the use of water:
· Shut off the water when brushing your teeth
· Take shorter showers
· Wash clothes only when you have a full load
· Install a water meter
· Invest in water efficient goods- showerheads, taps, toilets, washing machines, etc.
Together we can reduce the usage of both paper and water. Once you start a change, it will just come natural and there is a good chance others will follow in your footsteps!
